We arrived at Lake Nakuru after crossing the equator again a number of times. We were almost not able to enter the park as we had trouble paying. We were not allowed to pay with cash and the credit card needed a confirmation pin sent to our phones (but we removed the sim card). Eventually I was able to pay with a another credit card which could send the PIN to my email.
Upon entering the park we came across some tree lions which was something new. (note the female up the tree and the male at the bottom.

After driving around the lake we checked into the hotel and had lunch. Then another game drive. We saw baboons, giraffes, rhino’s, Zebra’s, black and white colobus monkeys, and Dik Dik’s. At the end of the evening all of a sudden David our driver gets a call. A leopard has been spotted. We quickly sat down and he booted it to the spot. We had a front row seat to see two leopards – both males so probably father and son. Watched them for about 20 mins til they ambled off. Then

After a good nights sleep and 6.00am breakfast we went on another game drive the next day. We were out for 4 hours and saw lots of animals. We went home for lunch and in the evening another game drive.

We had two game drives a day and always loved seeing the baby animals. Some were very curious and stared – others much more cautious. The last night at Nakuru we spotted this lion who almost caused us to be late back to the lodge. If the drivers were out after 6.30 they would get a hefty fine so our driver drove so fast on the way home but we made it with two minutes to spare.
