Today was a quiet day for us but not our surroundings. We woke at 6.00am but at 6.30 the local churches started and it was exactly like I had imagined. Preachers preaching very loudly and for a long time. (I’m surprised I didnt see them in clinic with hoarse throat)
We went to the local Methodist church with Kathie. It was a nice service but we did arrive a little late ( it started at 8.00 rather than 8.30am. There was “tea” afterwards for us as we were visitors. The tea was milk with some teabags…but was okay.
In the evening our new flatmate arrived – a young surgeon from the USA. We obvously had to introduce her to skipbo.
