Today we awoke early and had some breakfast. Initially we were thankful we brought a French press for coffee, but then found a coffee maker in the cupboard.

Shortly after breakfast Kathie came over. She is one of the missionaries who brings teams here from the USA. She was going to the local market and due to the chaos on the roads liked to be driven rather than walking (15mins) We jumped at the chance of an adventure. Again the roads were crazy with the motorcycles and no footpath. The supermarkets were small but had more than I expected with spices and most of the basics.
It is hard to describe the town. There are lots of people , motorcycles and traders trying to sell their wares. Outside the hospital gates is a green market where there is stall after stall trying to sell vegetables. We were advised to go with a local to buy anything as they jacked up the price for tourists. However we could not resist having a walk into town and there were large watermelons that Ric could not resist …and a couple of mangos to boot. ( they were still cheap by our standards so we didnt mind paying)

In the afternoon we took it easy and sorted our things in anticipation for the busy week ahead.
